Founded in 1903 by Italian immigrant, Don Pascual Iaccarini, Bodega Iaccarini is located in the foothills of the Andes in San Rafael, a province of Mendoza. At 2,789 feet above sea level, the sandy soils and the climate create a symbiotic relationship making favorable conditions for the cultivation of the vines.
The estate is divided into three blocks according to the age of the vineyards, which defines the different wine categories. The vines, ranging from 5 to 25 years of age, have been planted by means of the traditional high espalier method and are protected with an anti-hail net system. They grow on rocky sandy loam at an average altitude of 800 meters above sea level. The natural enclave of the terroir, protected by the Andes Range and bathed by its rivers, is what defines its characteristic profile: a region with scarce rainfall and low humidity levels, with clearly defined winters, warm summers and good sun exposure. All of these elements allow for complete grape ripening and excellent typicity, two aspects which the region is very proud of.
